Challenge
The Franciacorta Consortium, guaranteeing compliance with the Franciacorta wine production specifications, wants to promote this Italian excellence, together with its territory. For this reason, it entrusted WITHUB with the professional translation from Italian into English of the interview scripts for the mini-series dedicated to Italian excellence. This activity is in addition to the translation from Italian into English of the press releases and the updating of the website texts in English, German, Japanese and Chinese.
Solution
For the video interviews and press releases, WITHUB identified the most suitable native speaker translator, in terms of both linguistic proficiency and creative skills given the presence of puns and idiomatic expressions, along with references to Italian events and happenings that need to be contextualised and made clear for English-speaking readers. The most suitable mother-tongue translators for language, knowledge and depth of subject matter, maintaining sector terminology and care over communicative style were chosen to update the website texts. Translations are entrusted to the same translators so that the communicative style remains the same in all texts. Thanks to use of a professional CAT tool, it was possible to create a dedicated translation memory for each language, then updated from time to time to ensure maximum uniformity.
